Step 1:
To start this guide on how to draw a microphone, we’ll start with the head of the microphone. As you can see from the reference image, it will be a round shape with a thin band. To do this, you can carefully draw a circle shape but make it a bit flatter than an actual circle. Also, make sure to leave enough space at the bottom!
Then you can draw the strip around it, as seen in our image. One way to make it easier for yourself is to use a compass and pencil to draw a perfect circle. Then you can erase small sections on the side where the tape will go and the bottom section. You can then use your pen to skim through the lines that need to be erased. Once you have this form, you are ready for the next step.
Step 2:
You will start drawing the microphone’s body in this part of your microphone drawing. First, start by drawing a flat, rounded shape at the base of the microphone head. This will also fill in the space you left at the bottom. Then extend a curved line down from each side of this shape to create the outer edges of the microphone body. That’s all there is to do now, so you’re good to go!
Step 3:
Now that you’ve outlined the microphone body, we can start adding some detail in this step of our how-to-draw a microphone guide. The first step will be to draw a switch on the microphone. To do this, draw a small rectangle on the microphone body and add a line. Then you can also add a straight line through the microphone body to the top. Finally, you can add a small shape to the base of the microphone for the part the cable will connect to.
Step 4:
We mentioned the microphone cable in the previous step, and we will draw it in this drawing you’re the microphone step. To do this, extend a few curved lines from the small shape you drew on the base of the microphone in the previous step. We kept this cable quite short, but you can make it longer!
