The Sage 50 software application has an error that prevents the PAWEncrypt acquisition module from working properly. The error is caused by a problem with the sage.util.encryption package and it can be fixed by following these steps:

  • 2. In the Sage 50 software application, open the Encryption menu and select Reset To Defaults. This will reset all of the encryption settings in the software application to their default values.

  •  4. Close all of your open sessions in Sage 50 and start a new session by clicking on New Session in the Main Menu bar at the top of the screen.
  • 5. In the New Session window, scroll down to Encryption and select PAWEncrypt from the list of available encryption modules. Click on OK to open up the PAWEncrypt window.
  • 6. In the PAWEncrypt window, click on Preferences and make sure that both Use SSL/TLS When Available and Use SFTP When Available are checked both under General and Security Options sections. Click on OK to save these changes and close the PAWEncrypt window.
